Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-04-29
Talia is an interactive AI-powered narrative platform that depends on creators and players treating each other with respect. These Community Guidelines describe what's expected, what's prohibited, and what happens when the rules are broken. They apply to all parts of the Service: games, comments, direct messages, branch submissions, AI-generated outputs, and creator accounts.
By using the Service, you agree to follow these Guidelines and the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent account termination, and in serious cases, referral to law enforcement.
1. Zero-tolerance prohibitions
The following content and conduct will result in immediate removal of content, permanent account termination without warning, and where applicable, reporting to relevant authorities.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any sexual content depicting or sexualising minors (under 18), including AI-generated, drawn, or written depictions. We report all CSAM to the relevant authorities (eSafety Commissioner in Australia, NCMEC internationally).
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — sexual or nude content of real people who have not given clear consent, including "revenge porn" and intimate deepfakes
- Threats of violence or self-harm — credible threats against any person, group, or property; content encouraging suicide or self-harm
- Terrorist or violent-extremist content — content that promotes, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist or violent-extremist groups
- Doxing — sharing another person's private information (address, phone, ID, financial details) without consent
- Human trafficking, child exploitation, or solicitation of minors
- Illegal goods or services — sale or solicitation of drugs, weapons, stolen data, hacking services, fraud schemes
2. Other prohibited content
The following will be removed and may lead to suspension or termination depending on severity and pattern:
- Hate, harassment, and discrimination — attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics; targeted harassment of individuals
- Bullying — sustained negative attention, mocking, or shaming directed at users
- Impersonation — pretending to be another real person, brand, or organisation in a way likely to mislead
- Fraud and scams — phishing, fake giveaways, pyramid schemes, fake-account farming for promotion
- Spam and commercial solicitation — repetitive promotional messages, off-platform link-farming
- Misinformation and manipulated media — fabricated content presented as real; medical or election misinformation that could cause real-world harm
- Privacy violations — sharing identifying information or images of others without consent
- Adult content out of context — Talia is a 13+ platform and is not designed for explicit sexual content; sexual content is not permitted in public games, comments, profiles, or branch submissions, regardless of consent or fictional framing
- Graphic violence and gore — gratuitous violence depicted realistically, especially involving real people
- Animal cruelty — content depicting or encouraging cruelty to animals
- Gambling — promotion of unlicensed gambling services or schemes
3. AI generation rules
Talia provides AI tools that can generate or transform images, videos, and text. AI generation amplifies your responsibility — what you publish is your work, even if a model produced it.
You may NOT use AI generation to:
- Create sexualised, nude, or otherwise intimate depictions of any real person without their explicit consent — this includes celebrities, public figures, friends, ex-partners, classmates, and yourself if a minor
- Create CSAM or any sexual content involving real or fictional minors
- Impersonate a real person to deceive viewers (e.g., fake interviews, fabricated quotes, voice clones used to mislead)
- Generate content for political disinformation, electoral interference, or fabricated news
- Create defamatory or reputationally damaging content about real people
- Bypass safety filters by chaining tools or rephrasing prompts
When you use AI Replace or upload reference photos:
- You must have the right to use the photo (your own image, or a photo of someone who has explicitly consented)
- Reference photos are used only for that generation request and deleted from temporary storage within 30 days (see Privacy Policy)
- You are responsible for the AI output — review it before sharing or publishing
4. Player responsibilities
- Be 13 or older. If you are 13–17, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
- Use one account. Don't create multiple accounts to evade enforcement, inflate metrics, or harass others.
- Be truthful. Don't impersonate, lie about your identity, or misrepresent your content.
- Respect others. Even where speech is technically allowed, choose to be kind. Disagreement is fine; harassment is not.
- Protect your account. Use a strong password; don't share your account.
5. Creator responsibilities
- Original or properly licensed content only — don't republish other creators' work without permission
- Tag mature themes accurately (violence, dark subject matter) to set player expectations, even within the 13+ adult-allowed range of the platform
- Respond to player reports about your published games within a reasonable timeframe
- Don't manipulate Tacoin economy mechanics to defraud players (fake branch bids, sham collaborations, etc.)
6. Reporting violations
If you see content or behaviour that violates these Guidelines:
- In-app Report: Tap the report icon on the offending comment, branch, message, or user profile. Choose a reason and (optionally) describe the issue.
- Email: [email protected] — include URL, screenshots, or any other evidence.
- Block: If a specific user is bothering you, block them from their profile or in the chat thread; their content will no longer be visible to you.
We aim to review reports within 24 hours. Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats, doxing) are escalated immediately.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity, frequency, and pattern, enforcement may include:
- Content removal (private warning to user)
- Temporary suspension of posting / messaging privileges
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination and Tacoin balance forfeiture
- Report to law enforcement (for CSAM, threats, fraud, illegal goods)
- IP / device-level ban (for repeat evasion)
8. Appeals
If you believe a moderation action against your account or content was made in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of the action. Include your username, the action being appealed, and the reason you believe it was incorrect. We will review and respond within 14 days. Decisions on appeals are final.
Note: appeals are not available for zero-tolerance violations (Section 1).
9. Underage users
Talia is not designed for users under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has registered, please email [email protected] and we will remove the account. We comply with COPPA (US), GDPR-K (EU), and the Australian Privacy Principles regarding child data.
10. Changes
We may update these Guidelines as the platform evolves and as new harms emerge (especially around AI). Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
